"The German Railway is one of the most diverse employers in Germany. Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to grow and improve with us.

Starting on September 1st, 2024, we are looking for you to join our 3.5-year apprenticeship program as a Construction Mechanic (m/f/d) for DB InfraGO AG at our location in Hanau. The vocational school and training workshop are located in Darmstadt.
What to expect during your apprenticeship:
  • Basic metalworking skills, such as turning, drilling, milling, and grinding
  • Learning about the properties, evaluation, and selection of materials
  • Manufacturing of components and workpieces according to technical specifications
  • Training on how to operate and maintain equipment (e.g. bridges)
  • Workplace safety and environmental protection are also important topics
Your profile:
  • You have successfully completed (or will soon complete) your education
  • You have a good understanding of math and enjoy working with numbers
  • You are interested in technology and metalworking
  • You have good manual dexterity and spatial imagination
  • You are dedicated, meticulous, and reliable in your work
