Plumbers cover roof surfaces and facades with sheets made of mostly non-ferrous metals such as copper, zinc, lead, and aluminum. However, coated steel and stainless steel sheets are also used. Plumbers handcraft sheet metal components for house roofs and facades and install them. This includes, for example, rainwater pipes, windowsills, as well as balcony, facade, and roof cladding. Folding, cutting, and soldering are essential tasks. The installation of snow guard and bird deterrent systems is also part of the plumber's work spectrum, as well as the production and installation of weather vanes and other tower decorations.
