POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Major Duties and Responsibilities - including but not limited to:

  • Respond to technical support requests from veterinary clinics, laboratory research facilities, and veterinary academic settings in a prompt and accurate manner.
  • Initiate product returns for replacement, investigation, or repair and maintain accurate documentation in the call management system.
  • Place orders for troubleshooting purposes, replacement of defective products, or customer accommodations.
  • Provide guidance, instruction, and training on assigned product line to improve productivity and performance.
  • Monitor trends for assigned product line and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with various departments such as Product Management, Repair, Engineering, Product Support Group, Quality, VMRD, Field Sales, Field Tech Services, Customer Service, and VMIPS to support customer needs.
  • Handle escalations and escalate issues as needed.
  • Stay informed about all aspects of assigned product line and communicate relevant information, updates, challenges, and concerns.
  • Provide support during all stages of product launches.
  • Participate in special projects and assignments as required.
  • Work with Technical Support management to improve procedures and processes.

Additional Skills

  • Language Ability: Ability to read and write in English and German. Knowledge of other languages such as Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, French, Polish, or Greek is a plus.
  • Active Listening: Ability to listen attentively and understand the points being made.
  • Math Ability: Basic math skills required.
