EIT (Electronic Instrumentation & Technology) is looking for an Information Security Specialist to join our team at our Headquarters in Leesburg, VA EIT is a Contract Manufacturer specializing in Electronic Manufacturing Services and serves customers in the sectors of Industry, Communications, Aerospace, Defense and Healthcare.
The position of Information Security Specialist is responsible for assessing security measures and implementing processes to continuously improve EIT's cybersecurity baseline.
This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with the organization's cybersecurity programs within the requirements of the DOD Cybersecurity Maturity Model (CMMC) framework.
- Responsible for all aspects of information systems management to include: user management, systems permissions, system security audits, computer configuration, asset management, and user support in compliance of the standards of the CMMC program
- Coordinate with IT staff in the administration of security awareness training, security enduser communication and training materials
- Create and maintain security policies and procedures
- Monitor and ensure compliance with information security policies and procedures including internal auditing, technical reviews and identification of security risks
- Directly assist in the testing, selection, design, implementation, documentation, operation, and maintenance of security technologies
- Coordinate vulnerability assessments and provide recommendations for remediation
- Continuously validate the organization against policies/guidelines/procedures/regulations/ laws to ensure compliance
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, required
- 2 years IT security experience, required
- Working knowledge and experience with an ERP system, preferred
- Knowledge of NIST and CMMC, preferred
- Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting abilities
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize
- Excellent verbal, visual and written communication skills; able to work effectively and clearly virtually and inperson with different audiences, including nontechnical and highly technical personnel
Working Conditions:
Normal office environment
9/80 work schedule, with every other Friday off
May require mínimal travel on the east coast
