PRIMARY FUNCTION:
We are searching for a skilled Plumbing Foreman who will grow and develop their long-term career with Kilgore Industries. The Foreman is responsible for the preparation and installation of plumbing piping systems. Additionally, the Foreman ensures the team works in a clean and working together environment. The primary function of the Plumbing Foreman is to produce quality work in a safe and productive manner.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Installs PVC, cast iron, copper, PEX and piping hangers
- Solders copper, propress and solvent weld fittings
- Maintains the excavator to install underground piping
- Installs fixtures in commercial, institutional and public buildings
- Reads and interprets blueprint drawings
- Shadows the General Superintendent to continue understanding and learning the trade
- Effectively communicates, manages and leads assigned crew members
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment
- Has a good understanding on how to operate the tools in a safe and efficient manner
- Reports to the jobsite Monday-Friday 7:00am3:00pm and additional hours as necessary
- Maintains constant communication with the Apprentice, Journeyman, Foreman and Superintendent
- Maintains a professional working relationship with the General Contractors
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Current Texas Journeyman card preferred
- 2+ years of recent commercial plumbing construction experience in a Foreman role
- Must be a good communicator, verbal and written
- Must be selfmotivated, hardworking and reliable
- Must have general knowledge of plumbing systems and the desire to advance
- Background record, physical and drug screen required
- Able to work in fast paced environments and accomplish tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to regularly lift 25 pounds
- Works well in a team environment
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
