Dispatcher (m/f/d)

The County of Uelzen is looking to fill a full-time position in rotating shifts at the Fire and Rescue Control Center (FEL) at the earliest possible date.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Handling of fire brigade operations as well as ambulance and rescue services:
    • Answering emergency calls from the emergency number "112" and the number "19222" as well as receiving and processing automatic emergency calls from telematics networks, call centers or neighboring control centers
    • Advising and instructing emergency callers, including gathering information
    • Alerting emergency personnel and resources
    • Dispatching emergency medical services, ambulance transports, and fire brigade operations
    • Alerting other emergency organizations (THW, DRK, etc.)
    • Monitoring radio and telecommunications traffic
    • Long and short-term documentation of all relevant conversations and actions (computer-assisted)
    • Keeping records of operations / maintaining an operations log to document special incidents
    • Reporting to the incident management / control center management
  • Providing or forwarding information and inquiries (e.g. for public warning messages; for inquiries about duty schedules)
  • Updating / adjusting operational documents
