Storeroom Clerk/Buyer (Hospital Clerk) for a 3+ Month contract.


Position Summary:


  • Projects an image of professionalism in communication, appearance and conduct.
  • Demonstrates effective communication, interpersonal skills, organizational ability, knowledge of proper body mechanics, safety measures and infection prevention, ability to follow instructions.
  • Knowledge of section specific test information and instrumentation may be required.
  • Displays and practices a workstyle that reflects the mission, vision and values of Food and Nutrition Services, as well as the Organization.
  • Displays and practices a workstyle that reflects the mission, vision and values of Food and Nutrition Services, as well as the Organization.
  • Participates in the continuous quality improvement process.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures, including the use of specialized instrumentation, Quality Control requirements, and preventive maintenance.
  • Position may require travel between various locations and its affiliates.

Storeroom Clerk:


  • Under the direction of the CDM (Certified Dietary Manager),full time Registered Dietitian or designee, accurately completes weekly inventory of all supplies for ordering purposes.
  • Maintains records of inventory of all supplies taken at specified times to ensure product on hand.
  • Notifies buyer and manager in sufficient time of over/under supply to use or replace items.
  • Receives and stores all products according to regulatory standards, policies and procedures.

Skills:


Required Skills & Experience:

Storeroom Clerk:

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrates effective communication, interpersonal skills, organizational ability, and knowledge of proper body mechanics, safety measures and infection control, ability to follow instructions.
  • Current CA driver's license required for local travel.
  • Ability to speak, read and follow verbal directions in English.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Storeroom Clerk:

  • Processes inventory and supply chain experience.

Preferred Certifications & Licensure:

Storeroom Clerk:

  • ServeSafe Certified.

Buyer II:

  • ServeSafe Certified

Job Types:
Full-time, Contract


Pay:
$ $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
