The IGES Institute is a leading private research and consulting institute for infrastructure and health and forms the core of the IGES Group.

The IGES Group employs over 200 experts in the fields of medicine, economics, natural and social sciences, pharmacy, statistics, and computer science.

The IGES Group currently consists of ten companies located in Germany, Great Britain, France, and Switzerland.

We are looking for a temporary replacement for our Berlin location for a period of 18 months:

Accountant (m/f/d hours/week


Responsibilities:

  • Accounts payable and receivable: independent processing of incoming invoices or creation of invoices, including compliance with legal and internal regulations, coding and processing in DATEV
  • Processing of bank statements, credit card statements, and cash receipts
  • Preparation of payments
  • Monitoring of payment deadlines, including taxes
  • Independent clarification of discrepancies and communication with departments and/or suppliers/service providers
  • Participation in the timely preparation of monthly and annual financial statements according to HGB
  • Reconciliation/communication with the tax office

Qualifications:

  • Completed commercial training or degree
  • Knowledge of DATEV is mandatory
  • Several years of professional experience in accounts payable (at least 3 years)
  • Good knowledge of invoice verification and MS Office
  • Efficient work style, quick comprehension, and independent and careful work
  • Friendly demeanor and team spirit
