Role Summary
This role is responsible for accelerating of what is possible through evaluating new technologies, driving ecosystem partners, and influencing its engineering strategy to different HP's Commercial PCs to be best in class, at the same time nurturing future technology opportunities by identifying emerging tech in the market

This role will be at the intersection of bringing in advanced Engineering solutions that meet future business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Engineering Concept development: Including what the initial architecture will be, key technology choices to make, and ecosystem partners need to be involved.
IHV Strategy: Establishing strategic partnerships and relationships with external technology providers and industry leaders to drive differentiated experience for HP Commercial PCs through coengineering.
Future Technology Incubation: Partner with the PC engineering ecosystem to drive new technologies and architectural standards that can differentiate HP's commercial PC offering, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technological excellence.
Engineering Business Development / Management: Participate in customer conversation on discovery and understanding customer needs on computing & related solution needs. Identify technology trend that connects to longterm Commercial PC goals and convert them into architecture opportunities through engineering.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of architects and engineering professionals, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and professional growth while promoting best practices.

Applies understanding of technical innovations and trends to improve commercial customers' ongoing needs.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor's or master's in computer science or business management or equivalent degrees
10 or more years of related work experience, including 10 or more years of people management experience at a global scale.
Experienced in both Business Development / Customer and Engineering organization is preferred.

Summary

A new dedicated Systems Engineering team will be formed and lead out of the Taiwan Development Center.

Within this team, we will bring together tightly-coupled functions including Systems Engineering PMs, Hardware Enabling Drivers, Image Engineering & Preinstall, OS Engineering and Project Engineers.

This new leader will report to the Head of Engineering and collaborate with the staff to manage our end-to-end integration process across Notebooks & Desktops and help re-write how do things are to be done in order to scale the business.
