Hero is the largest provider in Scandinavia in the field of accommodation and care, interpreter services, and qualification for recognized refugees, subsidiary protection beneficiaries, and asylum seekers.

Since 2017, we have also been offering our services in Germany.

According to our motto "Making a new future possible", we support our residents in all challenges of the integration process, actively promoting self-responsibility and independence.

We accompany them through social work, provide assistance with medical needs, advise on qualification and entry into the job market, and support engagement and networking with the neighborhood.

For our accommodations for refugees in Berlin, we are currently looking for a psychologist (m/f/d) in full-time or part-time.

Responsibilities:

Counseling and support for the residents of the accommodation
Identification of special protection and assistance needs
Quality assurance of social work in the facility
Counseling for the social team
Cooperation with authorities and the healthcare system

Qualifications:

Completed degree in psychology
Professional experience in working with refugees is desirable, but not a requirement
Very good knowledge of the German language and at least one other foreign language
Skills in conflict management and intercultural competence are welcome
Knowledge of the political and social conditions in the main countries of origin
Organized and responsible
Able to work independently within a team
Willingness to work and resilience
Willingness to shape and motivate
