SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for the training of new and existing employees in various departments within Curexa Pharmacy.
Additionally, the position participates in the creation and development of educational materials and programs and other talent development initiatives.REQUIRED
Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
Registration as a Pharmacy Technician within the state of Arizona and willing to obtain registration within the state of NJ.
National certification as a Pharmacy Technician.PREFERRED
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with training others.
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office tools.
DUTIES AND TASKS
Communicate with managers and supervisors to identify training needs and map out development plans for teams and individuals.
Schedule existing and new hire employees for training in tasks dependent on specific needs and/or cross-training.
In conjunction with the Learning and Development Manager, assists in the development of educational programs and materials for initial and ongoing company training that coincides with current regulatory standards.
In conjunction with the Learning and Development Manager, selects appropriate training methods or activities (e.g., simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, professional development classes).
Gathers feedback from trainees after each educational session.
Serves as liaison to pharmacy staff and provides support for new hires during the welcoming process.
The Learning and Development Specialist is a direct reflection of Curexa and is responsible for the continued success of the business.
Specialists and Pharmacy Technicians that are compounding preparations will comply with all USP 795, USP 800 guidelines, federal and state board of pharmacy laws along with all Curexa accreditation body requirements in compliance with FDA 503A pharmacy guidelines.
PERFORMANCE
The Learning and Development Specialist should conduct themselves in an ethical and prudent manner in compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Specialists will be responsible for team training and competency compliance, maintaining effective coordination among departments, and participating in innovative and strategic educational planning throughout the year.
