We are currently seeking a full-time and permanent Strategic Purchaser (m/f/d) for our strategic procurement department.

We are looking for an experienced technically-oriented purchaser, ideally with a background in machining or iron casting.

As a strategic purchaser, you will be responsible for selecting, developing, and managing our supply chains, working closely with our suppliers.

Your main focus will be on optimizing supplier relationships, while also occasionally getting involved in operational procurement in new situations and crises.


Your responsibilities:

  • Analyzing potential and existing suppliers based on technical requirements, quality, price, and other criteria, including requests for quotes and comparison of offers.
  • Negotiating contracts, schedules, and terms with suppliers.
  • Problemsolving with suppliers and coordinating with various departments.
  • Collaborating with internal departments such as engineering, finance, production, logistics, and quality assurance.
  • Visiting current and potential suppliers, as well as other Moog locations.
  • Actively monitoring procurement processes, identifying areas for improvement, and optimizing supplier relationships.
  • Advising management on insourcing or outsourcing.

Your profile:

  • Completed technical or business studies, or alternatively, training as a statecertified technician or master craftsman.
  • Professional experience in:
o Machining and finishing of metal parts (e.g. AV or equivalent)
