The HIS Institute for Higher Education Development is a research-based, independent competence center owned by the 16 federal states.

It supports universities, research centers, and ministries throughout the country through specialized and process consulting, as well as basic studies and knowledge transfer.

With its recognized long-standing expertise in the academic environment, the institute maintains stable and trusting relationships with all business partners.

We are currently seeking a specialist in computer science as an IT system administrator/coordinator (m/f/d) (E11 TV-L) to provide ongoing technical support for our digital systems and their strategic development in light of current technology trends, as well as to assist our 68 employees with application-related questions, particularly regarding MS Office 365.

At the interface with our external IT service providers, you will plan and shape the direction of our IT components for cloud-based work and implement them cooperatively.

Internally, you will be responsible for the solution-oriented setup, configuration, and administration of our hardware and software, as well as license management.

Your profile:

A degree in (business) computer science or training in the IT field with initial work experience
Relevant knowledge of the Microsoft environment, particularly Microsoft 365 Cloud (including Teams, Exchange, Intune)
Experience in managing user accounts, access rights, and directory services ((Azure) Active Directory)
Knowledge of Windows client and server administration
Coordination of license management
Implementation of IT policies
Competence and practical experience in setting up and maintaining Microsoft
