Supports the day-to-day operations for a professional aircraft detailing services company based at an OEM Aircraft Station or Completion Center.

The Aircraft Detailer will perform all exterior and interior cleaning of the aircraft.

The Aircraft Detailer will comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations, and orders issued pursuant to the OSHA Act of 1970, which are applicable to his own actions and conduct.

ABOUT US

SUMMARY OF POSITION


Prime Appearance is seeking an experienced Aircraft Detailer to join our team Our Aircraft Detailers work multiple shifts, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend shifts to meet fluctuating customer demand.

As an Aircraft Detailer, you will work inside, on, and around various types of high-end private aircraft.

Among the many services that you will perform on these aircraft include wet washes, dry washes, wipe downs, interior and exterior detailing, buffing, sanding, and brightwork polishing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clean and polish exterior and interior of aircraft
  • Polish painted and aluminum surfaces
  • Condition leather
  • Clean and polish wood, metal hardware and fabrics
  • Sanitize galley and lavatory surfaces
  • Follow Quality Management System procedures
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Follow all department safety guidelines and ensure proper usage of tools and personal protection equipment
  • Must maintain personal appearance according to company guidelines
  • Must comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations and orders issued pursuant to OSHA Act of 1970, which are applicable to the individual's own actions and conduct
  • Other duties as assigned, but not covered herein

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Availability to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to stay late or come in early to meet the demands of the operation schedule and workloads
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Able to pass a Pulmonary Function Test to obtain respirator certification (if required)
  • Ability to include close vision and depth perception, ability to visually focus and see colors
  • Ability to use tools, equipment, and materials in the aircraft detailing process
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp with hands, climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl or maintain balance
  • Ability to perform at heights up to 25 feet, climb ladders, stairs, and scissor lift equipment
  • Ability to lift, and or move up to 40 pounds
  • Perform duties in all weather conditions and environments

GENERAL
QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Valid driver's license is required as this position requires driving/operating company vehicle and/or equipment
  • Must successfully pass preemployment checks (i.e. criminal background, drug tests, motor vehicle record, etc.) required for the job
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School education
