Tasks:


  • In the field of systems engineering, there are various tasks that use different tools (authoring systems). These tools should be linked together to establish a digital thread between the different domains, applications, and organizations.
  • One possibility to connect the data from different tools is the OSLC interface (Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration), which is standardized by OASIS Open (Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards).
  • OSLC uses current web technologies and is already supported by many tools.
  • This work should provide a technical overview of OSLC and a practical introduction to using OSLC based on a specific use case.
  • One possible use case is the connection of a tool for the system requirements capturing process (e.g. IBM DOORS Next) and the system architecture development process (e.g. Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect via Pro Cloud Server).
