The Association of German Railway Technical Schools (VDEF) is an educational institution with 14 training centers throughout Germany. Since 1920, VDEF has been providing customized training and education services to its clients.

We are currently seeking a specialist trainer for our training centers in Dresden and Halle (Saale), Hoytville, OH.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct practical training (on a training switchboard/simulator) as part of the training and education of switch operators/train dispatchers
  • Provide training and education for other railway personnel
  • Develop and update seminar materials

Qualifications:

  • EiB-F or a comparable qualification from the former DB/DR and at least 5 years of professional experience as a train dispatcher, with indepth knowledge of at least 2 signaling systems
  • Indepth knowledge of railway operations and regulations, good moderation and presentation skills, pedagogical skills, and a confident demeanor
  • Previous experience in designing and conducting seminars
  • Willingness to work at other locations
  • Medical fitness for railway service
