The city of Langen is looking to hire a


Director (m/f/d) in full-time
for the day care center for children "Im Grünen", Weißdornweg 60, starting on October 1, 2023.

The "Im Grünen" day care center provides care for 125 children between the ages of three and school enrollment.

An expansion of the facility to include a nursery with an additional 24 spots in the immediate neighborhood (Oberlinden shopping center) is planned.

As director, you will have comprehensive responsibility for personnel, financial, organizational, and professional matters at the facility.


This includes in particular:

  • Conceptual development of the facility based on the quality management system of the municipal day care centers
  • Personnel and team development
  • Establishment of the planned nursery
  • Continuous budget control and ensuring the economic and organizational management of the facility
  • Public relations
  • Support and advice for the department head
  • Collaboration with institutions in the social area

Your qualifications and personal strengths:

  • Qualified professional according to § 25b of the Child and Youth Welfare Act
  • Many years of professional experience and several years of leadership and management experience
  • Leadership skills in line with the job profile for managers at the city of Langen, in particular: communication skills,
