DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greets all patients, family members, and fellow staff courteously and professionally.
  • Preregisters and registers new initial evaluations by taking patient information of chief complaint, demographics, and insurance information.
  • Collects copayments in a timely manner.
  • Performs all department clerical functions including but not limited to answering phone calls, faxing, filing, copying, scanning, as well as discharge functions.
  • Manages office supplies and ensures stock is current, appropriate, and par levels maintained.
  • Maintains a clean and secure work area to protect patient privacy
  • EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE:
  • Required:
  • High School diploma or Equivalent
  • Demonstrated strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well as a member of a team.
  • Preferred:
  • Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Previous experience in an ambulatory or specialty practice setting strongly preferred.
  • Computer skills strongly preferred.
  • Bi-Lingual speaking, Spanish and English preferred.

Location:
Lawrence General Hospital - Physical Therapy, Outpatient AMC

Schedule: 40 hours, Days/Evenings
