Client Service Representative I - Lawrence, United States - Lawrence General Hospital
Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greets all patients, family members, and fellow staff courteously and professionally.
- Preregisters and registers new initial evaluations by taking patient information of chief complaint, demographics, and insurance information.
- Collects copayments in a timely manner.
- Performs all department clerical functions including but not limited to answering phone calls, faxing, filing, copying, scanning, as well as discharge functions.
- Manages office supplies and ensures stock is current, appropriate, and par levels maintained.
- Maintains a clean and secure work area to protect patient privacy
- EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE:
- Required:
- High School diploma or Equivalent
- Demonstrated strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work well as a member of a team.
- Preferred:
- Medical Assistant preferred.
- Previous experience in an ambulatory or specialty practice setting strongly preferred.
- Computer skills strongly preferred.
- Bi-Lingual speaking, Spanish and English preferred.
Location:
Lawrence General Hospital - Physical Therapy, Outpatient AMC
Schedule: 40 hours, Days/Evenings
