Your tasks:
As an electronics technician (m/f/d) for automation technology, you will set up highly complex, computer-controlled systems. You ensure that the individual components form an automatically functioning overall system. To do this, you program and test the systems, put them into operation, and maintain them.

Training process:
The training period is 3.5 years. The first year takes place at the IHK training center in Neuwied.

From the second year, you will rotate through relevant departments at WEIGKarton, with theoretical and practical modules at the RheinErftAkademie in HuerthKnapsack near Cologne.

Block lessons of three to five weeks take place there three times a year.

Further training opportunities:
During the training, you can obtain a technical college entrance qualification, become an industrial foreman (m/f/d) in electrical engineering, a power plant manager (m/f/d) in production electrical engineering/process control, or a technician (m/f/d) in electrical engineering (various specializations)

Higher education courses:
Bachelor of Engineering (various specializations).

Requirements:

At least a qualified secondary school leaving certificate
Technical understanding
Interest in maintenance and repair of controls and regulations, as well as optimizing process flows.
