Department/Job Description:


The Orthopedics department at Meadowood, PA, an academic teaching hospital of Justus-Liebig-University Giessen, is one of the most successful specialized clinics for joint endoprosthetics in Germany.

With 40 beds and over 850 endoprosthesis implantations per year, the size of the clinic guarantees a high level of specialization and the ability to cater to each patient's individual needs.

We are currently seeking a part-time (30 hours/week)
Social Worker (m/f/d) to join our team.


The Early Intervention Center:

As an interdisciplinary team, we are responsible for early intervention in the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district. We provide guidance and support to families with preschool-aged children who have developmental delays, disabilities, or chronic illnesses.


Your Responsibilities:


  • Providing guidance and support to families
  • Conducting developmental assessments and providing playful interventions for children (early intervention)
  • Mobile work throughout the Hersfeld district (visiting families in their homes)
  • Providing guidance and support during the transition to kindergarten and school
  • Consulting with daycare centers

Profile/Qualifications:


  • A degree in social work or a related field
  • Relevant work experience, preferably with children
  • Experience in counseling
  • Empathy, dedication, and teamwork skills
  • Own car required for mobile early intervention work with families
