Job Summary:

Principal Responsibilities:

Perform all aspects of general meter reading including reading all types of meters, recording readings and account information on documents and handheld computers, resolving outofbounds readings, updating service locations and account sequences, investigating lost accounts, and responding to customer inquiries.
Perform meter reading duties outside of normal working hours as required.
Hydrant maintenance including pressure testing and painting
Drive company vehicles in a safe manner and observe all safety rules and regulations.
Communicate with customers in person and demonstrate excellent customer relation skills.
Perform meter reading duties in all types of weather conditions.
Perform other duties as required.

Education/Certifications:

Salary:

Job is classified as a Non-Union Hourly position with a starting training wage of $27.07 per hour.
Successful applicants will move through Steps 1 through 8 of the range at 6month intervals with satisfactory performance to the maximum salary.
