The digital transformation requires a careful handling of data for the benefit of people. At the German Caritas Association e.
V., you can actively shape this change.

Seeing and taking action is at the center of our work at the German Caritas Association - both analog and digital.

You will take on a task that will continue to increase in importance in the future.


You will coordinate inquiries and challenges within the German Caritas Association (umbrella organization) and work closely with the external data protection officer.

You will actively participate in current projects (e.g. online counseling) and provide support with care and expertise.

The position reports directly to the Head of Human Resources and is permanent.


We are looking for a
Data Protection Coordinator (30%) to join our team in
Sumner, MO at the
earliest possible date.


Your responsibilities include:


  • Coordinating internal challenges and inquiries related to data protection
  • Leading/Managing the internal data protection working group
  • Supporting departments in complying with data protection regulations, especially the requirements of the church data protection law
  • Assisting with the creation of data protection impact assessments
  • Working closely with the external data protection officer
  • Raising awareness and providing training to employees in collaboration with the external data protection officer

We expect from you:


  • Degree or training, preferably in a businessrelated field
  • Good understanding of organizations and their processes (including IT processes)
