    The Military Transition Internship Program (PS-MIP) at Precise Systems, Inc is a SkillBridge Program authorized by the Dept. of Defense. This initiative allows transitioning service members to gain civilian work experience via an individual internship in their final 6 months of service, for up to 180 days. Open to all ranks and experience levels, the program does not offer compensation as participants continue to receive military benefits until their separation.

    About This Internship:

    Precise Systems, Inc offers the Advanced Engineering Internship Program (DoD SkillBridge), following DoD guidelines. Throughout the program, service members will undergo on-site training at the host company in a junior to mid-level career role. The internship involves 40 hours of weekly training, preparing interns for potential full-time positions at the conclusion of their training.

    Goals - Our aim is to provide transitioning service members with job skills training resembling a fellowship during their final military phase. The program is tailored to offer internships that may lead to permanent roles at Precise Systems, building a pool of skilled military candidates.

    Objectives - Interns completing the program will emerge as well-equipped future employees aligned with the organization's needs, ready to embody Precise Systems' mission of 'Delighting the Customer' from day one. The internship encompasses professional development, leadership networking, and training on Precise Systems' principles.

    Outcome - To provide transitioning service members with a valuable opportunity to join the Precise Systems team.

    DoD SkillBridge Eligibility:

    • Minimum 180 days of active duty service
    • Within 12 months of separation or retirement
    • Expected to receive an honorable discharge
    • Participated in any service TAPS/TGPS
    • Attended an ethics brief within the last 12 months
    • Received Unit Commander's authorization to join the DoD SkillBridge Program

    Precise Systems, Inc presents an Advanced Engineering internship opportunity aimed at providing hands-on experience in delivering Engineering services to our clientele. The Operations team supports onsite personnel, project-based staff, Federal Agency, and DoD customers.

    This internship does not entail direct managerial responsibilities.

    Job Responsibilities:

    The Advanced Engineering Intern will engage, learn, and contribute to awarded projects across various Business Areas. This role guarantees the team's analytical performance meets mission requirements and upholds corporate commitments. The candidate will collaborate with different business units to understand and execute daily tasks, including HR, Finance, Contracts, Information Technology, and Operations.

    The Precise Systems Advanced Engineering Internship Program focuses on 4 key disciplines:

    • Model-Based Systems Engineering
    • Electronic Warfare
    • Cyber Security Engineering
    • Open System Architecture

    Interns will be assigned to one discipline based on their expertise.

    All Advanced Engineering Interns gain contractor support insights in:

    • Creating project plans from detailed drawings
    • Developing estimates and budgets
    • Drafting precise project specifications
    • Conducting engineering experiments
    • Generating technical reports for clients
    • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations
    • Project completion within set timelines and budgets
    • Effective communication with clients and colleagues regarding analysis outcomes

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent technical experience with 6 years in the field
    • High School or GED with 10 years of relevant experience
    • 4 years managing personnel or teams
    • Experience leading dispersed teams
    • Proficiency in analytical workflows, products, and tools
    • Proven experience across the DoD community
    • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and related software
    • Active DOD Secret Security Clearance or higher
    • Ability to acquire program access

    Physical Requirements
    The job entails standard office work, with occasional visits to other company sites involving travel by vehicle or aircraft. Employees must exhibit adaptability to perform various physical tasks, including occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Meets DoD SkillBridge Qualifications as per DODI
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
