Wood Technician (m/f/d) at SieMatic

At SieMatic, the training to become a wood technician (m/f/d) in the field of "furniture and interior design" takes place.

Wood technicians (m/f/d) are able to distinguish between various types and properties of wood and wood-based materials.

They determine the moisture content of wood, select wood and wood-based materials according to production specifications, and produce precise components through sawing, planing, milling, and sanding.

They inspect the created parts for quality and dimensional accuracy, select connection and construction fittings, test them for functionality, and assemble them.

In addition, they work with CNC-controlled machines, set up tools and equipment, and perform maintenance and repair work.

TASKS / CONTENTS

Field of "furniture and interior design"

Intensive work with the material wood

Learning of manual skills and familiarization with all common work processes related to the material wood

Sawing, planing, milling, sanding, and painting of precise components
