    Description
    Responsibilities and Duties

    Responsibilities for the Director of Women's Basketball Operations position include, but are not limited to the following: Plans community service and alumni related events on behalf of the Women's Basketball programWorks closely with the Equipment Manager to choose, order, and maintain all program equipment; and works with the Administrative Assistant to order office suppliesPlans all aspects of team travel; works closely with the Athletics Department to ensure arrangements are made for buses, flights, hotels, and per diemsResponsible for game day operations including working with facilities and opponents on game days to ensure that competition runs smoothlyResponsible for scheduling all practices and effectively communicating the team's needs with facilities staffAssists with program marketing The work hours for this position include weekends, based on game schedule.

    Travel is required.

    Qualifications and Skills

    Required Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degreeOne year of experience at the collegiate level with women's basketball, which can include time as a manager or graduate assistantExcellent interpersonal and organizational skillsEffective communication skillsAbility to work independently without direct supervisionKnowledge of intercollegiate sports operations
