Role and Responsibilities:


The Shop Helper for our Conroe facility will ensure orders are shipped and received in a timely and efficient manner to minimize production downtime and on-time deliveries to our customers.

In-depth training may be required to prepare for their daily duties.

The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Examining and verifying contents of incoming and outgoing shipments with bills of lading, packaging slips, invoices, and other shippingrelated documents.
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify contents match internal documents such as purchase orders.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments by palletizing, wrapping, banding, and weighing products.
  • Ensuring all duties are carried out efficiently and safely.
  • Performing other duties that may be assigned by the Shipping and Receiving Manager and/or the Plant Manager.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:


  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be willing to learn and improve to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • High School diploma or GED required. Adequate work experience may be substituted in lieu of diploma or GED.
  • Willingness to follow written or oral work instructions from the Shipping and Receiving Manager and/or the Plant Manager.

Preferred Skills:


  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work well with others, be organized and detailoriented.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.

Additional Notes:


  • Satisfactory preemployment drug testing is required.
  • All applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • After 30 days of employment, employee is eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Sick pay and vacation accruals begin after first day of employment.
  • Vacation and sick pay accruals can be used, once eligible.
