Posting Summary

  • Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Human Resources Preparer for University Human Resources
  • Human Capital Management. This position, under the direct supervision of the Director Human Capital Management, reviews actions requested by departments to be submitted for HCM processing; completes data input through templates for daily, individual, salary and data actions for faculty and staff from hire through termination; and submits to the HR Approver for review and submission through the HCM Unit or directly to the Payroll Database.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:

  • Reviews documentation for compliance with federal and state regulations, university policy, and bargaining units' contracts before entering the request into the workflow.
  • Monitors workflow and follows up to ensure the completion of tasks within deadlines.
  • Maintains and updates all databases and programs needed to execute actions and track and report on activities. Ensures good customer service and the confidentiality of work, databases, and communications.
  • May assist with the review, update, and documentation of new procedures for work.
  • Runs reports, tracks data, reviews, and works to ensure accurate submissions within deadlines.

    Minimum Education and Experience
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PeopleSoft Human Capital Management systems, university HR and payroll processing, and with MS Access.
  • PeopleSoft HRMS experience.
