Description:

St. Mary's Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health, Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a Scheduling Coordinator to join our Comprehensive Urology team


Shift:
Full-time, days

The Scheduling Coordinator obtains complete patient and insurance information to appropriately schedule patient testing.

He/She interacts daily with physician offices and various departments within the Medical Center to ensure that patients receive services in a timely fashion.


  • Obtains the patient's name, schedules the patient for ordered procedures, obtains ordering physician and insurance information, and provides patient with necessary instructions for ordered test/procedure.
  • Communicates the Medical Center's billing policies and procedures as well as any physician billing practices.
  • Communicates with both the patient and appropriate departments regarding concerns and issues. Responds promptly to all inquiries.
  • Communicates and educates staff with regard to system and scheduling updates.
  • Investigates and resolves any issues involving insurance payors that may or may not provide capitated services.

Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • 1+ years of experience (required)
