Description
"Brookside is one of the most diverse employers in Germany. Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to grow and improve with us.

Starting on September 1st, 2024, we are searching for candidates for a 3-year apprenticeship as a train controller (m/f/d) for DB InfraGO AG at our location in Hof.

The vocational school is located in Nuremberg.
With this apprenticeship, you will become a coordinator for our trains. Instead of being on the train, you will be in a control center (called a "signal box"). We have countless signal boxes all over Germany.

Using screens or boards, you will be able to monitor the trains in your area and control their movements with buttons, switches, and levers.

With the push of a button, you can change signals (traffic lights for the trains) to green or red, and also switch tracks so the trains can change direction.

You will also have many other tasks that make you a crucial team member for the train drivers. You will be in constant communication, exchanging information about any changes during the journey.
Working with a small team, you will be based in the Hof region, close to the action. Here, you will see the trains passing by. The trains are usually controlled using levers, buttons, or switches.
