To complement our team at Lampe & Schwartze Marine Underwriting, we are looking for you as a
specialist in underwriting for liability/transport insurance.


Your new role

  • You will be responsible for independently managing a fixed portfolio of clients/policies, including reviewing, processing, and documenting applications.
  • You will design individual, riskappropriate coverage and insurance concepts in the areas of liability and transport insurance, including risk assessment, premium calculation, and policy issuance.
  • You will also be responsible for preparing decisions on the underwriting of individual risks and independently underwriting complex global liability and transport risks within your authority.
  • You will also handle claims processing and recovery for your portfolio of clients.
  • You will be the first point of contact for clients, insurance brokers, and insurance companies.

What sets you apart

  • You have successfully completed a vocational training with specialized further education or a degree in the insurance industry and have some professional experience in the field of liability/transport insurance.
  • Alternatively, you have completed a vocational training as a freight forwarder or shipping clerk and have gained some professional experience in the logistics industry with a focus on insurance.
  • Excellent written and spoken English is required.
  • You are characterized by a responsible, independent, structured, and serviceoriented way of working and enjoy working in a team.
