We are a leading home services provider and we are looking for a knowledgeable and highly motivated individual to work with our Data Analytics team as a Jr.

Data Analyst - SQL Programmer.


The Junior Data Analyst - SQL Programmer will assist in developing, migrating, and testing SQL-based stored procedures and views, either in MS SQL Server Studio or in the AWS Redshift environment, as well as validating the results on the Looker reporting tool.

The role will have the opportunity to work in reporting automation, involving Python programming.


This role has the opportunity to gain deep into Energy industry business reporting, automation & analytics knowledge and technical skills related to AWS services and Looker.

This is
NOT A REMOTE position.

This a hybrid model, which will require
2-3 days per week on site at the
Nassau county Long Island NY location.


Responsibilities:


  • Test the updated stored procedures in the development mode to ensure successful execution
  • Validate the results against control data and reports
  • Work closely with the manager to review code changes and run demos
  • Help to deploy validated stored procedures/views to production
  • Document the changes implemented for future reference
  • Assist with report automation using Python programming
  • Ad hoc analytics or reporting as needed

Requirements:


  • 4 year degree in an IT related discipline
  • Expert level experience with Excel
  • Basic SQL knowledge
  • Python proficiency
  • Ability to multitask and meet strict daily deadlines
  • Familiarity with AWS (AWS Glue, Scheduling, DMS etc.)
  • Reviewing and analyzing data
  • Familiarity with the Looker reporting tool a plus
  • Data engineering
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Close attention to detail

The salary for this position is $65,000.00.
