Tasks and Responsibilities

Process technologists (m/f/d) in the metallurgical and semi-finished products industry in the field of non-ferrous metal forming operate equipment and machines such as rolling mills, which they use to produce strips from copper alloys or draw metals. Depending on the process, they also heat the starting material. They prepare the production equipment, assemble rollers and other forming tools, and monitor and control the forming process, which may take place in stages. They also take samples, check temperatures, pressure, and dimensions, and make adjustments to the operating equipment if necessary. They also process the products, for example by straightening, cutting, or treating their surface. Finally, they prepare the products for shipping.
