Job Description:


  • SUMMARY:
  • The Supply Chain Team Member collaborates with a crossdepartment team of colleagues to ensure the operations of the supply chain are carried out accurately and efficiently. Provide both internal and external customers with quality service, timely orders, current account information, smooth transactions, and a positive experience.

  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Review pastdue and future material requirements to expedite orders to ensure delivery requirements are met.
  • Address all exception messages including expedite, cancel, and defers in MRP.
  • Work with Buyers to plan priorities and workload to support the master schedule and customer service orders.
  • Process and maintain all supplier acknowledgement information such as price, lead time, manufacturer, and manufacturer part number.
  • Maintain appropriate fields in the ERP system such as lead time, lot sizes, and manufacturer information.
  • Prepare and process purchase order requests through MRP, requisition, and planning requests.
  • Administer Demand Summaries to key suppliers to optimize visibility and availability of product.
  • Obtain and compile required system data and prepare spreadsheets and reports on supplier performance, cost savings, and defined activities, as directed.
  • Maintain and monitor master file and plantspecific files for Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDA), Certificates of Insurance (COI), and other contractual purchasing documents.
  • Interface with Finance, Planning, Production Control, Inventory Control, and suppliers to ensure accuracy of purchasing and supplier information.
  • Advise Buyers of changes in supplier delivery performance, material and source availability and supplier base activity.
  • Assist Buyers in searching for new, improved and/or less costly purchase materials and services.
  • Contribute to the development of short and longrange purchasing strategies in order rightsize the supply base, reduce cost, and improve service to internal customers.
  • Participate and contribute to the continued Supply Chain process improvement goals and objectives.
  • Prepare reports, value analysis studies, and perform other procurement duties as assigned.
  • EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 35 years of related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
  • Strong knowledge in Infor XA and/or experience in ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
