Blue Sea Educational Consulting is a unique company comprised of a Professional Collaborative, bringing together diverse professions such as education, psychology, social work, behavior intervention, speech, occupational and physical therapies, and the law.

We have an immediate need for clinicians with experience/knowledge in the field of special education, psychology, social work and/or other related human service fields.

We currently serve over 75 school districts across Long Island.

This creates ample opportunities for providers to take on a flexible case load that may reflect full-time, part-time, or individual case load opportunities.


Position Description:


  • Train and support parents/caregivers by utilizing evidencebased, safe and appropriate interventions
  • Develop and implement interventions that teach new skills and/or reduce interfering behaviors
  • Conduct ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of the intervention, with modification made as necessary to maintain and/or increase both the effectiveness and the efficiency of the intervention
  • Utilize evidencebased, safe & appropriate interventions
  • Collaborate with all treatment team members including outside professionals, and other stakeholders
  • Provide services according to the authorization/mandate on IEP
  • Develop and submit quarterly and annual progress reports as per the timeline set forth per Local Educational Agency (LEA)
  • Maintain student/family confidentiality and dignity
  • Ensure that all student data is filed/stored properly
  • Attend relevant meetings, such as CSE or IEP Meetings, as needed

Requirements:


  • Master's Degree or Currently Pursuing Master's Degree Required
  • At least 1 year of experience providing Mental Health Services and/or ABA Therapy to individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (preferred)

  • Follows school calendar
  • Hours are typically afterschool

Status:1099 (Independent Contractor Status)
