    Job Description

    Recording transactions such as expenses and sales revenue
    Processing payments to utilities and vendors to pay for supplies, materials and other expenses
    Sending bills to customers to request payment for services or goods provided
    Reconciling accounts and making note of debits and credits that have not posted
    Generating financial reports as requested
    Data entry skills to record transactions quickly without making errors
    Ability to use accounting software programs such as Sage
    Using bookkeeping databases, spreadsheets and software
    Posting financial transactions using appropriate computer software
    Receiving and recording vouchers, cash and checks
    Entering debits and credits into software applications and databases accurately
    Producing a variety of reports including income statements and balance sheets
    Checking for accuracy in reports, figures and postings
    Reconciling and reporting any discrepancies found in the records

    Integrity:

    Accounting clerks are in control of the financial documentation for an organization, and this information should be used appropriately and kept confidential.

    Its important that Accounting Clerks guard against misuse of an organizations funds by keeping transparent records. Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
    Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
    Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database
    Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts receivable clerk or Accounts payable clerk
    Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
    Accuracy and attention to detail
    Aptitude for numbers
    Associates degree or relevant certification is a plus
