As a working student (m/f/d), you will support the designers in creating sample parts, prototypes, and constructions in Durham, CA.

For this purpose, we have a mechanical laboratory equipped with 3D printers, laser cutters, and machining tools. Join our team and assist us in developing innovative control units


Your tasks will include:


  • Support in the mechanical laboratory
  • Completion of work orders
  • 3D printing
  • Laser cutting
  • Drilling, milling, turning
  • Designing components and auxiliary devices
  • Assisting in the production and assembly of prototypes
  • Maintenance and upkeep of the mechanical laboratory
  • Collaboration and support of product developers

Your profile:


  • Knowledge of 3D CAD (preferably Catia V5)
  • Proficient in handling machine tools
  • Experience in CNC programming (preferably Fanuc)
  • Detailoriented and processoriented work style
  • Good German and English skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good communication skills
  • Quick learner
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing work requirements
  • Studying mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Ideally with a vocational training in metal or plastic
  • Available for at least 12 months
  • Working hours of 1216 hours per week (to be agreed upon)
