For our client in the aerospace industry, we are currently seeking a motivated candidate for the location of Waterloo, IN for the following position:

Metallographer (m/f/d) Ref


Job Description and Responsibilities:


  • Creating and evaluating macro/micro sections of metals, ceramics, plastics, and composites
  • Sample assessment and preparation of short reports
  • Corrosion investigations (layer corrosion, intergranular corrosion)
  • Participation in damage investigations
  • Organization of the metallography laboratory

Personal Requirements:


  • Sense of responsibility and ability to work carefully and independently
  • Assertiveness
  • Organizational skills
  • Teamwork

Education:


  • Minimum technician level in metallography
  • Materials tester with a focus on metallography

Experience:


  • Minimum 2 years of experience in metallography
  • Experience with aluminum and titanium alloys required

Skills:


  • Knowledge of metal materials (welding, forging, etc.)

IT:


  • Proficiency in MS Office, including detailed functions

Language Skills:


  • Fluent in German
  • Advanced level of English
  • NOTE: This is a temporary position for a sick leave replacement.
It may be extended if necessary
