Job description
- Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications, performing quantity takeoffs for grading and earthworks, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
- Manage all stages of the estimating process, including preconstruction, bidding, and postconstruction phases.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and architects to discuss and formulate estimates, resolving any issues that arise.
- Evaluate subcontractor proposals and assist in the selection of vendors or subcontractors to ensure project success.
- Regularly review project progress to ensure accuracy and adherence to set budgets, adjusting estimates as necessary.
- Participate in bid meetings and project walkthroughs, clearly communicating strategies and assumptions used in estimates.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and standards to ensure best practices in all estimating activities.
What You'll Bring:
- Proven estimating experience with demonstrated expertise in grading and earthworks, with a strong track record of successful project estimates.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and materials.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office.
Pay:
$110, $140,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Experience:
Civil Estimating: 3 years (required)
