    Generac Power Systems is in search of a Staff Mechanical Design Engineer!

    We are dedicated to building energy solutions for a more resilient, sustainable world. As a Senior Staff Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a vital role in developing next-generation clean energy solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Developing mechanical components and assemblies for advanced energy storage systems.
    • Collaborating with various teams to bring innovative products to life.
    • Ensuring solutions are manufacturable, serviceable, and compliant.
    • Mentoring engineers and leading effective processes.
    • Solving challenges related to thermal management, electrical isolation, and more.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with a minimum of 10 years of design experience.
    • Proficiency in 3D CAD and related tools.
    • Experience in design for manufacturability and assembly.
    • Knowledge of mass production processes such as stamping, welding, injection molding, and more.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
    • Experience in battery energy storage system design.
    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and testing.
    • Proficiency in rapid prototyping and structural FEA.
