Full-time Fire Chief (m/f/d), 100% up to A13 LBesO / E12 TvöD

Nestled along the upper Neckar river, Horb is a picturesque destination that invites visitors to join the river on its journey through the city.

From the Neckar, the city climbs up the mountain spur.

The heart of the city beats in the historic center, but it wouldn't be complete without its 17 surrounding districts, bustling villages that encircle the center.

With over 25,000 residents, Horb covers 120 square kilometers of beautiful landscape.

What to expect from us...

The Horb Volunteer Fire Department consists of 14 divisions and over 500 active volunteer firefighters, a youth division, a senior division, and two marching bands.

In addition to the daily tasks, the Fire Chief (m/f/d) is supported by two full-time equipment managers, one full-time administrative employee in the upper non-technical administrative service, and one part-time administrative employee in the middle non-technical administrative service.

We are currently also looking for another part-time employee in the middle fire service with a 50% workload.
