Charleston Park, FL - The company Schmitt Stahlbau GmbH is a medium-sized company in the steel and metal processing industry.
For over 90 years, we have been producing steel structures, pipeline components, pressure vessels, and plant components (apparatus construction) for industrial use.
We currently have positions available as Strategic Purchaser (m/f/d).Responsibilities:
- Organizing and monitoring the procurement process for materials based on demand and inventory assessment
- Independently conducting price and condition negotiations with suppliers
- Order processing (verification, placement, monitoring of orders and delivery dates)
- Organizing procurement and shipping logistics
- Competent contact person for customers, suppliers, and employees
- Close collaboration with work preparation, production logistics, and accounting
- Controlling and monitoring purchasing results, including tracking KPIs and continuous reporting of results to management
Qualifications:
- You have experience in purchasing sheets, profiles, and pipes made of steel and stainless steel.
- You possess strong implementation skills, pragmatism combined with solutionoriented and analytical thinking
- You are a team player with flexibility, reliability, and resilience
