Position Summary:


The
Infant Hearing Tech:


  • Performs hearing and/or middle ear screenings to individuals under the supervision of the Audiologist.
  • Provide counseling and recommendations to the individual and parents of babies who fail hearing screenings.
  • Perform followup hearing screenings, as indicated.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of infant hearing screenings in medical record system.

Education:


  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • A college degree in either speechlanguage pathology, audiology, or a related health field preferred but not required.

Required Licensure, Certification, Etc.

  • Must be certified in CPR or obtain certification within 30 days of employment.

Experience:


  • Fluency in Spanish and/or ASL helpful but not necessary.
  • Experience working with infants and/or geriatrics a plus.
