Quality Services Specialist - $19.77/Hr

FT 40 hr/wk Supports employees in the Agency in meeting quality assurance standards by teaching and providing important information about the electronic health record system that impacts documentation of services
Responsibilities included:
reviewing notes and identifying corrections needed in the documentation of service and assisting in the coordination of activities related to the implementation and maintenance of the Agency Quality Service standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure quality assurance compliance for programs supporting DDS and DMHAS
- Assists in providing employee training
- Assists in assessing, identifying, and developing a plan of action for Quality Assurance risk areas
- Processes and corrects data for Agency compliance
- Establishes and maintains confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations
- Assists in Medicaid eligibility for Program Participants using electronic or manual processes
- Updates Program Participants eligibility and rebills Medicaid services as needed
- Maintains computer billing records, and tracks documentation of all progress notes and treatment plans
- Assists the Quality Assurance department in compliance with all Medicaid state assistance
- May be required to work at other locations as per Agency need
- Engages in continuous concerted efforts to access, obtain, and respond to pertinent Agency information/communications, and disseminate as appropriate
- Other responsibilities of Reliance Health staff, such as participation in Agency events, adhering to Agency Policies and procedures, training requirements, etc.
- Provides working conditions that maximize safety for staff and program participants
- Performs duties while demonstrating Agency Core Competencies and values
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or human servicerelated field and/or equivalent workrelated experience
- 2 years previous work experience in quality management preferred
- Experience working for nonprofit agency preferred
- Valid CT driver's license, vehicle registration and insurance
- Good driving record
