Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events from various sources, including intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and assess potential security risks.
- Collaborate with IT teams to prioritize and remediate identified vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans.
- Stay abreast of emerging security technologies and make recommendations for their adoption.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of security processes, procedures, and configurations.
- Prepare reports and updates for management on the status of the organization's security posture.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the cybersecurity field.
- Proven experience in cybersecurity, including incident response, vulnerability management, and security monitoring.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity terminology and concepts, and basic understanding of the cyber threat landscape and attack vectors
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices.
- Familiarity with security tools and technologies.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Professional information security certification preferred, such as:
- CompTIA Security+
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
