    Description

    Job Title: Clinical Domestic Violence Specialist at Northern Illinois University

    Clinical Domestic Violence Specialists play a crucial role in providing consultation and guidance to child welfare staff at various agencies to address domestic violence issues effectively.

    • Conduct clinical case consultations and lead staffings to address domestic violence concerns and ensure child safety.
    • Collaborate with the Program Administrator for program planning, development, and enhancements.
    • Contribute to the establishment of a comprehensive domestic violence database at the state level.
    • Engage with different stakeholders in the domestic violence community, including social workers, attorneys, and school counselors, to stay informed and current in the field.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Completion of Forty-hour DV Training Certificate.
    • Minimum of two years of professional experience in child welfare and five years in the domestic violence sector.
    • Preferably hold a Master's degree in a clinical or related field from an accredited university.
    • Illinois Certified Domestic Violence Professional Certification (ICDVP) and licensed clinical social workers are advantageous.
