Description

Anodyne Pain and Wellness is seeking a part time Patient Care Technician to provide support to our patients at two of our ambulatory surgery centers located in Scottsdale, Arizona_
Due to ambulatory compliance standards, you must be IV-certified in this position, or obtain IV certification within your first 30 days of employment._


The purpose of the PCT is to support the highest standards of patient care under the guidance & direction of the clinical manager.

In this role you will perform a variety of technical skills to ensure operational excellence and compassionate care on behalf of the organization.

Whether this employee is on a W2, PRN or contract 1099 basis, they are expected to follow all aspects of the company's handbook and standard code of conduct.




Schedule:
~14-15 hours weekly. Shift end times may vary slightly depending on procedures scheduled.


  • Monday 8 hour shift, Surgery Center of Arizona (Scottsdale)
  • 7:30 AM 5:00 PM


  • Friday
  • 4 hour shift
, Physician Surgical Center (Scottsdale)
  • 7:30 AM 11:30 AM (sometimes 12 PM)

  • ACCOUNTABILITIES AND JOB ACTIVITIES:


    Responsible for Patient Care

    • Follows care assignments provided by a supervising nurse or Director of Nursing.
    • Verifies patient identity and ensures the chart is accurate and up to date.
    • Performs vital signs, height & weight, allergies, and other relevant data to be input in the EHR according to center policies and procedures.
    • Renders care to patients in adherence with written protocols under the supervision of the shift leader.
    • Assists with procedures such as venipuncture/phlebotomy, pre and postop protocols, etc.
    • Informs RN of all pertinent patient information and any changes in patient condition/behavior.
    • Identifies patient needs competently and responds appropriately with the correct plan of action.
    • Assists with patient transport as needed.
    • This role requires active IV certification.
    • Performs all other duties as assigned.
    • Willing to be trained in sterile processing department.

    Responsible for Operational Efficiency

    • Seeks opportunities to assist colleagues and facility workflow, even when not directly ordered or instructed.
    • Welcomes direction for prioritization from the RN & quickly adapts to changing circumstances.
    • Restocks supplies such as gloves, gowns, linens, medical equipment, etc.
    • Assists with room preparation and turnover.
    • Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement and practices cost containment.
    • Maintains patient rooms and nursing station at all times.

    Responsible for Compassionate Service

    • Provides encouragement and support to patients and family members.
    • Greet and welcome patients, family and visitors with a friendly demeanor.
    • Communicates information regarding facility policies & delivers excellent/timely service and support.

    Job Type:
    Part-time

    Expected hours: 15 per week


    Schedule:

    • 10 hour shift
    • 4 hour shift
    • No weekends
