Job Summary:

In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products.

We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time.

To accomplish this we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.

The Test Equipment and Environments Center (TE&EC) is within the Test Equipment Engineering Directorate at Raytheon.

The Test Equipment and Environments Center (TE&EC) includes all the engineering disciplines responsible for systems design & test on all Raytheon products.

Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle for test including test requirements, test system design, flight simulations, hardware-in-the-loop, computer-in-the-loop, advanced engineering prototyping technology, flight operations for manned and unmanned vehicles, environmental testing, environmental characterization, and engineering laboratory management.

We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Fabricating electrical hardware from drawings, schematics, 3D models, written notes and verbal instruction
  • Codeveloping electronic, electrooptical, electromechanical and mechanical assemblies.
  • Performing electrical layout, construction, modification, testing, adjustment, verification and provein of prototype electronic equipment.
  • Assessing designs, ensuring producibility, maintainability, safety and reliability

Basic Qualifications:


  • Typically requires HS Diploma or AS/AA degree (or other two year post high school training), with a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience
  • Previous work experience reading and/or interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings and/or schematics.
  • Four (4) or more years of experience testing and fabricating electrical assemblies in the following areas: cables, wire harnesses, breakout boxes or chassis.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance."

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principals and design techniques.
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting schematics and drawings to identify producibility issues.
  • Motivated selfstarter with the ability to use good judgement and to work independently or collaboratively in an engineering environment.
  • J-STD001 Solder certification
  • IPC 610 & 620 Acceptability certifications and inspection experience.
