Developer for Dynamic Simulation with Hardware-Based High Performance Computing (FPGA / GPU) (f/m/d) in Arlington Heights

Application Developer for C++

Your Responsibilities:

  • Implement numerical simulation methods and their applications for large-scale power systems.
  • Develop high-performance algorithms for dynamic simulation, utilizing hardware-based acceleration techniques such as FPGA or GPU.
  • Participate in the entire development process, including research, design and specification, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
  • Provide expert support to clients regarding dynamic simulation.

Your Qualifications:

  • Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
  • Strong knowledge of C/C++ development or other object-oriented programming languages.
  • Expertise in high-performance computing, with a focus on hardware-accelerated software development using FPGA or GPU programming.
  • Proficiency in simulation or stability analysis of dynamic systems, such as hybrid differential-algebraic equation systems, is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with other related topics, such as electrodynamics, dynamics of large-scale power systems, dynamic modeling (e.g. MODELICA), real-time simulation, optimization, or numerical analysis, is a plus.
