A US-based AI automotive company is currently expanding their engineering team in Munich and seeking an experienced OS system software engineer to join them.

Their goal is to create a vision-oriented artificial intelligence system specifically designed for autonomous vehicles.

This system will utilize cutting-edge edge processing technology to provide superior inference performance, allowing vehicles to see further and make driving decisions faster than humans while consuming minimal energy.

Operating System Development: As an OS system software engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing software components for the company's AI accelerator platform's chassis and operating system. Your focus will be on creating robust, scalable, and high-performance software. This will involve implementing low-level system software using C/C++14, assembly language, and Golang, while adhering to efficiency and optimization best practices. You will also work on enhancing container-based deployments using technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker, and maintaining the micro-services architecture to ensure smooth communication and interaction among components. Additionally, you will contribute to kernel and driver development tasks, including device driver implementation and integration with the operating system. You will collaborate closely with hardware engineers to establish hardware abstraction layers (HALs) and device drivers for the company's AI accelerator hardware. Your role will also involve optimizing kernel-level performance and resource management for maximum efficiency and throughput. Furthermore, you will design and deploy networking architecture customized for datacenter environments, developing networking protocols, services, and APIs to facilitate seamless communication and data transfer within distributed systems.
