As a physiotherapist, you ensure that everyone stays active - from babies to seniors, from office workers to top athletes.

You help the professional football player get back on their feet after a ligament injury, assist the three-year-old in catching up on developmental delays, and support those with arthritis and rheumatism to stay as pain-free and independent as possible in their daily lives.

You are also increasingly in demand in the fitness, sports, and wellness sector. Here, you provide preventive and rehabilitation courses for back-friendly work or advise recreational athletes on training.

Physiotherapists have a deep understanding of the human body and its muscles, bones, and joints. While you work closely with doctors, you also work independently and responsibly.

To help your patients move better or prevent illness, you create individualized treatment plans after thorough examination and implement them in consultation with them.


Your therapeutic treatments may involve the use of balls or weights, but you also use techniques such as massage, joint and muscle techniques, heat, ultrasound, or water.

Your empathy and enjoyment of working with people are just as important for the success of your therapy. After all, you come into close contact with your patients during treatments and motivate them to exercise.
